Phil Jackson

PHIL JACKSON is perhaps the best NBA coach of all time. From 1989 until 1998, he was the head coach of the Chicago Bulls, winning six NBA championships during that time. From 2000 to 2010, his next team, the Los Angeles Lakers, won five NBA championships. As a player and as a head coach, he owns the NBA record for most titles won. He's also the NBA coach with the best winning percentage (.704).

Jackson was a member of the NBA champion New York Knicks in 1970 and 1973. Jackson was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007. HUGH DELEHANTY, a former editor for Sports Illustrated and People, is the co-author of the bestseller memoir Sacred Hoops with Phil Jackson.
