Rachel Amphlett

Rachel Amphlett is a bestselling author on USA Today who is best known for her fast-paced crime fiction and thriller thrillers. White Gold, her first thriller, was published in July 2011 and stars British secret agent Dan Taylor. Rachel established herself as an author to watch, and the series spawned three more books before she moved on to a new character, Detective Kay Hunter. The crime thrillers in the Kay Hunter series are set in Maidstone, Kent, and feature a close-knit team of investigators. The books have been compared to TV shows NCIS and Law & Order: Criminal Intent for their authenticity and attention to detail, as well as their page-turning narratives and clever turns.

Robert Bryndza (The Girl in the Ice, Shadow Sands) and Angela Marsons (Silent Scream, Deadly Cry) praised the first novel, Afraid to Death, which was released in 2016. Rachel has most recently written a new criminal thriller series centered on Mark Turpin, an Oxfordshire-based detective. Adrian McKinty (The Chain) and Jo Spain (With Our Blessing, The Confession) complimented the first novel, None the Wiser, and Peter Robinson, the writer of the DCI Banks series, lauded the follow-up book, Her Last Hour. Rachel also writes the English Assassins series, which stars Eva Delacourt, a female assassin, as well as a number of standalone crime thrillers, psychological thrillers, and conspiracy thrillers.
