Rachel Naomi Remen
Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen is a pioneer in the field of mind-body medicine. She is a Clinical Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and the Director of The Healer's Art, a UCSF course. She is the co-founder and medical director of the Commonweal Cancer Help Program, which was featured on PBS's Healing and the Mind with Bill Moyers. She is the founder and director of the Institute for the Study of Health and Disease, a professional development program for graduate doctors who want to improve their empathy, compassion, understanding, and communication skills.
