Robin Wall Kimmerer is a mother, a scientist, a distinguished professor, and a Citizen Potawatomi Nation enrolled member. Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Science Understanding, and Plant Teaching and Collecting Moss: A Natural and Cultural History of Mosses are two of her books. She is a SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor of Environmental Biology and the founder and head of the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment in Syracuse, New York.
