For his essential contributions to general relativity and cosmology, Roger Penrose, one of the world's best theoretical physicists, has received multiple awards, including the Albert Einstein Award. He co-wrote The Nature of Space and Time (Princeton) with Stephen Hawking, which became a best-seller. Cycles of Time: An Astonishing New Vision of the Universe and The Road to Reality: A Comprehensive Guide to the Rules of the Universe (both Vintage) are among Penrose's other works. He lives in Oxford, England, as the Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics Emeritus at the University of Oxford.
