Russell Herman Conwell

Russell Herman Conwell, the founder of Temple University in Philadelphia, was a student, schoolmaster, lawyer, preacher, organizer, thinker and writer, lecturer, educator, diplomat, and men's leader, according to the great John Wanamaker. Conwell was also the founder and pastor of Baptist Temple, which at the time was one of America's largest Protestant congregations. In the City of Brotherly Love, Jesus also established two hospitals. His renowned Acres of Diamonds speech inspired numerous people to understand the essence of true wealth and how to get it without falling prey to selfishness and greed.
