Russell Stannard is an award-winning author of both children's and adult literature. His Uncle Albert books have been translated into 20 languages, and one of them, 'Uncle Albert and the Quantum Quest,' was the number one paperback bestseller in the United Kingdom for a period. He was granted an OBE by The Queen and the Bragg Medal by the Institute of Physics for his work in making science accessible to youngsters and the general public. He has collaborated with a number of prestigious publishing houses, including Faber and Faber, HarperCollins, Lion Hudson, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, and others.
