Sam Sifton

Sam Sifton is the founding editor of NYT Cooking and an assistant managing editor at The New York Times, where he is responsible for cultural and lifestyle coverage. After spells at Talk magazine, the New York Press, and American Heritage magazine, he joined The Times in 2002 as national news editor, restaurant critic, and culture editor.
