Sandra Ingerman, MA, is the author of 12 books, including Soul Retrieval: Mending the Fragmented Self, Medicine for the Earth: Transforming Personal and Environmental Toxins, Walking in Light: The Daily Empowering of a Shamanic Life, and The Book of Ceremony: Shamanic Wisdom for Invoking the Sacred in Everyday Life. Sounds True has produced eight audio programs with her as the host. Sandra has been teaching shamanism for about 40 years and is a world-renowned teacher. She has given workshops on shamanic traveling, healing, and employing spiritual approaches to reverse environmental contamination all around the world. Sandra is known for connecting traditional cross-cultural healing methods with modern culture, addressing current concerns.

Sandra is known for bringing together the global spiritual community for powerful transforming rituals and for encouraging us to stand strong in unity so that we may do our own spiritual and social activism work while maintaining a vision of hope and being a light in the world. She is dedicated to assisting individuals in re-connecting with nature. Thousands of people have healed from past and present traumas with Sandra's Soul Retrieval method, a traditional cross-cultural shamanic healing method. She is a professional mental health counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist.

She's also a board-certified traumatic stress expert. Sandra was named to Watkins Mind Body Spirit magazine's list of the 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living Persons of 2020. The World Foundation for Integrative Medicines presented her with the 2007 Peace Award. Sandra was named one of Spirituality & Health magazine's Top 10 Spiritual Leaders of 2013.
