Susan Hood is the author of almost 200 picture books. Her novel Spike, The Mixed-Up Monster won the 2013 International Hispanic Award and was named to the Charlotte Zolotow Highly Commended List. She has garnered starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Booklist. Bank Street and the Cooperative Children's Book Center awarded The Tooth Mouse a 2013 Best Book of the Year. Susan worked as a children's magazine editor at Scholastic and Instructor Magazine, as a book editor at Sesame Workshop, and as the Children's Content Director at Nick Jr Magazine before becoming an author.
