Susan Kay worked as a primary school teacher and now resides in Cheshire, England, with her family. She's also the author of Phantom, a sequel to Phantom of the Opera. For Legacy, she won both the Georgette Heyer Historical Novel Prize and the Betty Trask Fiction Award.
