T.C.McCarthy is a highly regarded and award-winning Southern author whose short fiction has appeared in Per Contra: The International Journal of the Arts, Literature, and Ideas, Story Quarterly, and Nature, among other publications. Germline, Exogene, and Chimera, his first science fiction trilogy, were critically acclaimed when they were released in 2011 and 2012. T.C. is a writer and a musician. is a Fulbright Fellow, a Howard Hughes Biomedical Research Scholar, and a PhD scientist who worked for the CIA as a weapons expert during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He has never been shot at or fired a shot on self-defense, but he is a known specialist in future warfare who has been requested to talk on the subject by USSOCOM on many occasions.
