Ted Chiang's fiction has been nominated for four Hugo Awards, four Nebula Awards, and four Locus Awards, as well as being included in The Best American Short Stories anthology. Tales of Your Life and Others, his debut collection, has been translated into twenty-one languages. He was born in Port Jefferson, New York, and now resides in the Seattle area.
