Tembi Locke has appeared in over sixty television episodes and films, including The Magicians, NCIS: LA, Animal Kingdom, and Dumb and Dumber To. She is a TEDx speaker as well. What Forty Steps Taught Me About Love and Loss is the title of her talk, which follows her journey as a cancer caregiver. She founded The Kitchen Widow, an online bereavement support network that has been featured in publications such as The New York Times and The Guardian. She lives in Los Angeles with her small daughter and writes From Scratch, but spends her summers on the island of Sicily.
