Terry Albert

Terry Albert is a writer and artist who focuses on animal-related topics. Terry has had hands-on experience with hundreds of breeds of dogs as a professional dog trainer, as a foster home for several breeds, and through more than fifteen years of work as a pet sitter. She has won several Maxwell Awards from the Dog Writers Association of America for her writing and artwork, and served for several years as their annual writing competition chairperson. In Poway, California, she volunteers as a Reserve Park Ranger with the mounted patrol team. Terry's painting has been featured in the Art Show at the Dog Show and the AKC Museum of the Dog. She also received the Channel 10 San Diego Leadership Award for her volunteer work. She's also been commissioned by dog breed groups and individual collectors on a number of occasions.

She works from home now, where she lives with her five dogs, two horses, two cats, and two box turtles. She dedicates this, her first book, to her father, George Johnson, because he would be so proud of her.
