TERRY SHAMES is the Macavity Award-winning author of A Killing at Cotton Hill, The Final Death of Jack Harbin, Dead Broke in Jarrett Creek, and A Fatal Affair at Bobtail Ridge, all of which feature Samuel Craddock. She's also the coeditor of Fire in the Hills, a collection of stories, poems, and images about the Oakland Hills Fire of 1991. She grew raised in Texas and is still enthralled by the complicated connections and betrayals of the little town where her grandfather served as mayor. Terry is a member of Sisters in Crime and the Mystery Writers of America.
