Tim Tharp lives in Oklahoma, where he writes books and teaches at Rose State College's Humanities Department. He has worked as a factory hand, construction laborer, psychiatric assistant, record shop clerk, and long-distance hitchhiker in addition to getting a master's degree in creative writing from Brown University. Knights of the Hill Country, Badd, and Mojo are among Tharp's other critically regarded young adult novels.
