Tom Burrell, a marketing communications pioneer and Advertising Hall of Fame inductee, is recognized with changing the face of American advertising and revolutionizing the image of African Americans on television. His award-winning work promoted positive and realistic representations of black people while also acknowledging the African American community's purchasing power. Burrell is the founder of The Resolution Project, a non-profit that encourages inter-racial communication and community-based new media anti-brainwashing programs. He lives in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago.
