Tom Igoe

Tom Igoe teaches physical computing and networking at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts' Interactive Telecommunications Department. He investigates techniques to allow digital technology to recognize and respond to a broader variety of human physical expression in his teaching and research. He co-authored Physical Computing: Sensing and Managing the Physical World with Computers with Dan O'Sullivan and is the author of Making Things Speak and Getting Started with RFID. He is a co-founder of the Arduino open source microcontroller project and a contributor to MAKE magazine. He intends to travel to Svalbard and Antarctica in the future.
