Valter Longo

Valter Longo is the director of the USC Longevity Institute and the IFOM (Molecular Oncology FIRC Institute) in Milan's Program on Longevity and Cancer. His research focuses on the basic causes of aging in simple organisms and mice, as well as how these mechanisms might be applied to people. Dr. Longo was honored by the National Institute on Aging (NIA/NIH) with the Nathan Shock Lecture Award in 2010 and the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR) with the Vincent Cristofalo Emerging Star Award in Aging Research in 2013.
