For a number of print and online publishers, Van Allen Plexico writes and edits New Pulp, science fiction, fantasy, and nonfiction analysis and commentary. In 2017 for Sentinels: The Dark Crusade and in 2015 for Legion III: Kings of Oblivion, he earned the Pulp Factory Award for Novel of the Year, the 2015 Pulp Factory Award for Anthology of the Year for Pride of the Mohicans, and the 2012 PulpArk Award for Best New Pulp Character. He's the author of the Shattering space opera trilogy, Lucian, Baranak, and the revolutionary and #1 New Pulp Best-Selling Sentinels series, among other works. In his leisure time, he works as a political science and history professor. He's lived in Atlanta, Singapore, Alabama, and Washington, DC, and currently calls the St. Louis area home. He lives in the St. Louis region with his wife, two daughters, and various river otters.
