Vladimir  Nabokov

Vladimir Nabokov (1899-1977) came to the United States in 1940 after a spectacular literary career in Russian, and went on to have an even more brilliant one in English. He wrote an autobiography and eight books between 1939 and 1974, which the Library of America compiled in a three-volume series. Brian Boyd is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Auckland's Department of English and the author of Nabokov's Pale Fire: The Magic of Artistic Discovery.
