Yoshihiro Togashi

Yoshihiro Togashi began his manga career in 1986, when he was 20 years old, when he received the prestigious Osamu Tezuka Prize for emerging manga artists. In the romantic comedy Tende Shôwaru Cupid, he made his debut in the Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1989. He wrote and illustrated the popular manga YuYu Hakusho from 1990 to 1994, which was followed by the dark comedy science-fiction series Level E and the adventure series Hunter x Hunter. He married manga artist Naoko Takeuchi in 1999.
