Our story began in the early 2000’s with a young man and his entrepreneurial spirit rolling up his sleeves and turning a budding business intended to support himself and his education into a lifelong passion. Owner Glen Nothnagel’s vision started with him personally buying used books, DVDs and CDs wherever he could find them in order to recycle and resell them on popular outlets like eBay and Amazon.
Today, we purchase millions of titles every year through our first website, sellbackyourbook.com, and since 2018 have proudly offered them for sale directly to the public on SecondSale.com. Our company has grown from a small rental unit to our first modest warehouse with only a few employees working tirelessly amongst piles of books to our present state of the art facility, all still right here in our hometown of Montgomery, IL.
