   Great Illustrations
The period illustrations are good. If you are reading to a young child, make sure to say the n- word. Lots and lots of the n- word. Only prepared for, it should not be changed. An important text by an author.

   The book is a trapezoid
The story has nothing to do with this. The book was cut in such a way that it was hard to read.

Great characters (and writers) never die!
This is a great novel by Mark Twain. No dialogue or words were changed, that's a relief to me. The editors and publishers of this book deserve a lot of credit for keeping the true meaning of this book alive during times when people seem to be offended by things that happened a long time ago. It is a joy to see and read the depth in character. This is a great American novel.

WHY DOES IT STILL HAVE THE N WORD
I am not happy that this book has a negative word in it. I gave it to my 13 year old so she could read it, but she was shocked and upset when she saw the word being used multiple times. This is not acceptable at all.

   Disappointing classic.
I wanted to read it because it's a classic and everyone should, but I'm a bit disappointed. The writing was not wet. The way in which the slaves talk is hard to read. I was skipping whole pages because the space was being wasted on unimportant things.
