Lies on the cover
Derived From Web , Nov 30, 2021
On the cover the book talks about where to go '', when to go '', what to see '' and what to do ''. However, once covered inside, none of this is lost. Each park has two pages with general information. Given that it is all in one place in the book rather than gathering the info online, but you are still left searching for details on the places mentioned... details being where to go, what to see when, what to do. It is a great book though, with nice pictures if you are looking for something to put on the coffee table. Seriously '' considering returning this.

Disappointed
Derived From Web , Oct 4, 2021
Thinking, I am going to get a great guide to campsites in each state, nope, it lists only an area and 2-3 parks. Great photos, but they are of all the same parks that everyone already knows and is over a year before you can get into... Save your money and use the Dyrt app.

I think I got more than what is provided. It is more of a short general overview with very little in-depth information.

Chock full of info!
Derived From Web , Jan 30, 2021
We love this book. We love it. You can find online information about parks, but sometimes I need a break from the internet. It is nice to sit down and flip through a book. We keep this in our RV so that it is on hand when we travel around the country. I'm really glad that they included maps of the US and Canada, showing the actual location of each park. Some of their other books, such as 100 Drives 5000, do not include maps. It is helpful to know that the information about each park includes ideas for different seasons. This way you can focus on activities during the time of year when you're in the park. One pet peeve, which is probably just me - they didn 't need to include so many photos of animals and flowers. Instead, they could have included additional pictures more relevant to the activities atnear the park or the scenery of the park.

Great reference to parks
Derived From Web , Dec 22, 2020
This book is loved. It is a national reference to all the great parks in the U.S. This is my planning guide that I use to visit and photograph each state and their parks. Some of my friends did not know that existed. It is really fun to walk and very inspirational.

Good starting point but lacks details
Derived From Web , May 5, 2020
This book gives great starting points to get ideas about what you may want to visit on your next vacation. There are many ideas and beautiful pictures. I was a little disappointed about the aspect of when to go : I was a bit disappointed about the aspect of when to go. I expected details like when to go in relation to seasons and when the busy times of the year were quieter. As I mentioned, as I mentioned, it is a good starting point to get ideas about where to go. From there, you always have Google...

Nice Photos with little content.
Derived From Web , Oct 25, 2019
Nice photos, but little content to actually plan from. Each entry gets maybe 3 pages per entry. One or both have a Striking photo. There isn 't a synopsis of. Best time to visit, Highlights of the area, Closest airport and travel options, Lodging choices... Instead, Michael Oswald's guide to the national parks was published by Suggest in Your Guide to National Parks, by William Suggest. It had e v e r y t h i n g i n g one needs to plan well.
