This first book is like the whole page. The book says very basically write the answers, but does not provide any guidance or direction at all. Only valuable if your child already knows the answers, in which case the need for the book eliminates.

My homeschooled 4 12 yr old works in this and helps her practice. A few things we haven t covered yet, so we skip. On each page there are 4 problems. It helps with writing, commas, punctuation, parts of speech, capitalization and grammar. I haven t looked back at CD.

Minimal opportunity to evaluate the grasp of material from the student. NO opportunity for students to learn. It would take a teacher more time to evaluate each student's answers than to complete the page a student. With 30 students, 1 hour of grading for 2 minutes of classroom activity.

It is a great book for using to teach your child the basics

It is a great book for teaching basic skills to your child. I like that there are various questions on each page. What I do is have my son correct the noun words, My son was able to answer a lot of questions today when the book arrived and he is in kindergarten.
