   Not what I expected
I ended up returning this book, as it was not at all what I expected it to be. I was looking for a workbook that has handwriting samples to practice handwriting, where the child writes in the book. This was not my look at all, so don 't be misled.

   LOVE!!!
I was looking for a great writing curriculum at my child's primary school level and this was a challenging find. I enjoy how each week is organized in an organized lesson plan. It is challenging for the age group.

I like this one a lot!
It is easy to keep track of the days and assignments. Some days take longer than others, but that helps my kid keep my attention. He just finished the second grade, and I got this for him to do to make sure he didn 't fall behind during the quarantine. I would recommend it for any kid who needs a little more writing practice.

   Son hates this book
There is a lot involved in this book. It seems to be a bit repetitive and isn 't really enjoyable. We will finish it, but look for something else.

   It's Okay
We used this as a writing practice for our 2nd Grade homeschooler and it does not really work for us. She still hates writing and some of the lessons are so strange that we end up skipping them. It encourages creative thinking and the first lesson covers the rest of the week nicely, but she is never excited to do it and we find ourselves scratching our heads on what some of the lessons teach you to do. We try a spectrum for the 3rd grade.

   Summer help
A little further advanced than my son did in and grade, but at least it kept him challenged through the summer too!

The exercises are easy yet challenging enough for her to work through
We have used this for our daughter over the last month making sure that she is prepared for the 2nd grade. The exercises are challenging yet easy enough for her to work through. We have seen a great deal of improvement in our daughters'writing.

Nice, fun workbook for my son
This is a good workbook, but the first week lesson was very classroom-centric, so that it was of little use to us as homeschoolers. We skipped the first week and started on the second week. No big deal.

Using it at the end of the school year to keep my 7 year old from forgetting what she learned. Ordering 3rd grade for her to work on over the summer to help prepare her for the next year.

Pretty basic steps building into the actual writing of a ...
Pretty basic steps that lead into the actual writing of a narrative or opinion piece. We are about 12 miles through the book and my granddaughters'writing is improving some. I think that many of the subjects used here for writing assignments are better for students who attend public school, as a practice at home. My student is home-schooled and has not had many of the experiences they want to write about. I have adapted some of them to fit what she does not know or had her do some research. In all, I think it is helping make it easier for her.
