   Great series for emerging readers!
When we finished the Deckawoo Drive series, we were very excited to find out about the Tales from Mercy Watson's books. The same characters, shorter chapters, longer pictures.

   Great Book for my proficient 8 year old
She is 8 and is proficient in reading. She also loved all the books by Mercy Watson. If you have not heard from them, check them out. This book is about all Deckawoo Dr.'s neighbors on Mercy.

   It’s a fun, safe book - No Hidden Agenda
My daughter is 7 years old and LOVES this book. She laughs throughout the book and enjoys the stories thoroughly. The pictures are also wonderful. We have read this every night before bed for the past month. If you are a parent or grandparent and you are looking for a good book without any surprises in the storyline, this is a fantastic option.

   DiCamillo Did Not Disappoint
We have a whole set of Mercy Watson for our six-year-old. After reading them over and over, it was time to get her a new set based on characters with whom she is familiar. Still fun characters and lovely stories!

   Great books! My 4 year olds current favorite books!
They were a little disappointed that all the pictures in the Tales from Deckawoo Drive books were black and white, since all the Mercy books have great colored pictures. They still love the stories though.

   Warm, strange, and yet oddly familiar
If you are new to the series and wondering what the big deal is, let me tell you that they are great, warmly and richly written, happy stories. After reading, there is no action figure to purchase. I am grateful that they exist and it is a joy to read them with my daughter.
