   300 + mosaic ideas
It is great to see a new mosaic book on the market, as a teacher, I am always on the lookout, the content of this book is very sound. The section on Community projects was very helpful and very practical, as opposed to reading through pages of text, very readable and '' ; I have the following observations : the layout of the book is way too small, making the contents difficult to read and doesn 't do the layout justice. Future editions should be adapted to a much larger format, especially in this day and age of digital perfection, that some of Rosalind Wates'apos ; mosaic book had been transformed into this book, in contrast to new content being generated.

I have done a lot of mosaics and taken books from master mosaic artists and I found 4 tipsareas just thumbing through this that taught me new things and clarified. This book is filled with professional tips and techniques to create mosaics in a practical and valuable way right out of the gate. If you want to use value as an educational tool for your money, this is it.

I bring it quite a bit after a sketch an idea in my journal to review design options and visualize it for that design. I learned the direct method for unrouted, grouted and thin set, but I think that the indirect method might have worked better for some layouts. I would definitely recommend '' this book.

   Excellent book for beginners
I found this book to be excellent in providing instruction and advice to those wanting to learn how to create mosaics. They provide quite a bit of detail on materials, substrates, tiles, grout, color choices and so on. They also provide good information on how to set your work area and safety precautions. The templates are very good and I chose not to use them, however, they could be basic beginner projects that take only a few hours to create.
