I'm only about halfway through this DIY devotional preparation for Marian consecration and I am blown away by the simplicity, the elegance, and the truly transformative words Bishop Gaitley has strung together, let alone the earth shattering truths behind them. The daily devotionals are short enough to be taken care of well inside 15 minutes, and I found myself hard pressed to put the book down, Grace said. He suggests starting the 33 days later than the traditional feast day, preferably on or at least close to a Marian feast.

My wife and I went through this 33-day program together in conjunction with the book club at the church. He's a good priest, I think. Gaitley has done a nice job of making the writings of Saint Louis de Montfort and other saints accessible to everyday lay people. If you are struggling with a Catholic's devotion to the Blessed Mother, he has some easy-to-understand information in here that can help you understand what it really means.

This book is beautiful, and an awesome devotion, Raymond said. This doesn't need a review, Mr. Rule told the judge. However, the paper used is of good quality and will hold up to wear and tear for years. I have ordered 4 and have used the books twice, both times by the end of the 33 day devotion.

This is an awesome book about consecration to the BVM, and is divided up into 33 days, as the material would be overwhelming, said Dr. Goin. You just have to take it in little bites that you can 'chew' and 'digest' a little at a time because the intense spiritual food contained in it is too potent to digest. But paper used to make the cover starts to dogear, split and curl after just a few pages. This could be rectified by using higher quality paper for the covers, and spiral binding it, vs binding, as it is just large enough that you want to turn the cover completely to the rear when reading. A 4 x 6 format would solve this conundrum, Hollingworth said. Surprisingly the font is a nice size.. use of a sans-serif font, and it would be perfect.

Michael has done an amazing job with this book and it is partly because the Holy Spirit guided him through the entire thing, Habak said. If you think Consecration with Louis de Montfort is too dry and too theological, then this is the place for you. I have experienced peace of knowing that Mary is always by my side guiding and leading me on the right path to heaven, giving Her protection against satan and his temptations, Bernadette said.

As with many'modern' changes to classic prayers, this one TOTALLY misses the mark in the preparation for the consecration of Our Mother. His preparation is steeped in Scripture and prayer to Our Lord and His mother Mary. His preparation is built on people who had a great devotion to Mary and did not have formal prayer at all, he said. The reflections would be ok as an addendum to the daily reading and prayers of DeMonfort's preparation work, but as a stand alone without its lacking. After the second week I reevaluated my progress, reset my day for Consecration, and began my preparation again using the True Devotion To Mary. There is no short cut through the crucible, Raymond said.
