Absolutely the best book on natural posture ever written. I've bought three extra copies as a thank you to all my friends in need. I've studied other books by Elizabeth Gilbert, Katy Bowman and Pete Egoscue but find this book the clearest and most helpful. Posture and proper ways to lay down or sit are the focus of this class, said Esther. Barrenas's book is divided into three sections: Exercises, which are given in the back of the book but her emphasis is on how to align your body properly.

   good stuff
The Gokhale Method focuses on body posture and explains why it is that back pain has become so ubiquitous in our culture and why that's the case everywhere around the world. The differences are subtle but profound, Raymond said. I have suffered with occasional severe back pain and sciatica, but since embarking on learning the Gokhale ways of sitting, standing and even lying in bed, I feel much better. I started by trying to teach myself from the book and just completed a weekend Gokhale seminar from a skilled instructor. While I still have a long way to go, I'm on my way, and feel good about that. Thanks for the resource. A good book, The Age of Persuasion.

I wondered why the western world people have lost their legs and use canes, crutches, wheelchairs, etc., but the rest of the world doesn't function that way, Mr. Booher said. If this is a problem in your life, get the book. It walks you through the steps to change your patterns of living and have a back-free living experience.

The protocol represents a holistic and organic view of the body and spine, and empowers the patient to begin the journey toward his or her own healing. It would have included all the necessary birth instructions, even if the mother had no such manual. Simply put, it is, and can be integrated in daily life, one must be committed to the work and doing the 8-steps as a lifelong relearning of how to sit, walk, bend and lay. In the end, you have done the steps to achieve the victory of a pain-free life, Thibault said. It's great to hear Blair say it was well worth it.    Take this book to your physical therapist..
Physical therapist for over 30 years, 25 of them in private practice. During my years of practicing PT, I have not only observed continuing education, but I have incorporated all of the modalities from Bikram yoga, classical ballet, floor barre, T-tapp, gait training, strength training, and have incorporated all of the bits and pieces into my own practice. I found that I had been doing many of the standing, sitting and walking and bending suggestions in this book without even knowing it existed. If you can't take a class, I heartily recommend it and suggest you take a refresher course if you can.

The book is titled "The Blair Witch's Revenge." Bad posture should be called how to fix it in a few people with no other physical problems, he said. One of the problems with this book is that it is full of confusing random pictures to the point it becomes overwhelming and hard to follow the actual exercises. Barrera says the book is "just a bunch of different ways of showing how to correct your posture." While I agree most of us have bad posture, these 8 steps won't cure your back pain if you have scoliosis or spondylolisthesis. Even if you have those conditions, she says, don't do a bunch of these steps unless you have a doctor's recommendation. Ok, so who is this book for? Those who got a sore back from sitting hunched over a desk? Just about everything about this book screams "Random!" The useful information in this book could have been condensed and pasted into a pamphlet, Hollingworth said. She also sells DVDs, fancy chairs and even a few decorative accessories. Another person making money off of others pain.

   EXCELLENT WEATLH OF KNOWLEDGE
I AM SERIOUS PAIN — a condition that has no hope but this book has excellent guide and exercises to me as I must work through this condition as I refuse to be a pain pill addict. Although pain pills serve a purpose they can help build hope and provide options.

Developed my story sciatica about 7 years ago. Unable to get up from sitting position wo pain. Experienced pain from a variety of common everyday movements. Unable to hike wo pain Approx. 2.5 hours per day. 7 yrs ago I bought this book and started adjusting the way I sat, walked and slept.. At the end of my 1st week. pain subsided when I got up from couch, she said. In less than a month, Microsoft's new products will be available on the market. Thanks to the doctor and the team at Ridgeline, I was able to hike pain-free. Now, in 2018, I can say that I have been following the guidelines for 7 years and no pain!
