Reading Rainbow can't go wrong

This is a touching story about a poor family's material loss, hard work paying off, and neighborly love, Raymond said. The central characters, a small three-generation family, all work together to make their wish come true. The illustrations are colorful and go perfectly with this mostly cheerful story. Don't discount a story just because it's 25 years old. It's a great looking book, said Tunick.

Derived From Web , Apr 26, 2022
Only a few pages were ripped, but the rest of the book was in very good condition. With used books, you take a chance, but this is in more than good shape, he said. Easy to tape, no big deal to me, Mr. D. Trapdoor said. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Not for sensitive child
Derived From Web , Apr 26, 2022
I was disappointed that the story showed pictures of the child's house on fire and the house in ruins, he said. It was supposed to be good for a sensitive child who has fears of disaster, Myers said.

Vera Williams tells this simple story of love and depth of devotion to family with tenderness and grace.
Derived From Web , Apr 26, 2022
In the aftermath of a fire, a young girl, her grandmother and her mother, who is a hard-working waitress, save all their spare money to buy a wonderful, beautiful, fat, soft armchair. In her tender and witty memoir, Vera Williams tells the story of love and deep devotion to family with such tenderness and grace that it has become a classic to enjoy forever. Of course, I can never resist a math lesson when one presents itself so beautifully. if your child has read and enjoyed the book several times, gather coins in a jar, add more and keep track of all the money.

What a beautiful story Of loss and recovery for children.
Derived From Web , Sep 17, 2021
I foolishly sold all of my children's books after they were grown, he said. Then my son fell in love and plans to have a child. I read to my kids every single day and had probably a couple hundred books that we chose from Amazon. com. When I decided to replenish our collection for a possible grandchild this book was among the 15, or so I felt was essential. In "The Fire That Killed My Mother and Daughter," Elizabeth tells the story of how her family came to terms with losing everything. It's about having a new home and experiencing hardship and saving to buy a new chair, Mr. Dhaliwal said. There are a lot of toys that are just too young to play with. There is this joy of how things go away and how things come back again, McCartney said. And love that exists through it all exists.

Good book, bad quality manufacturing
Derived From Web , Apr 4, 2021
I've read all the books, but this is by far the best. I'm so glad my daughter read this book. It's great to hear LeVar Burton's voice narrating the story. Because, frankly, I'm not giving this three stars. The quality of the products was terrible. The front pages were connected by two thin panels, each with a single bullet hole. After four or five readings, a few pages fell out, and my child is not rough with books, she said. A terrible book, terrible production.

Love this book
Derived From Web , Aug 10, 2020
I've always loved this book and the accompanying images. It was in my home. Although I've borrowed it from the library and read it to my kids, I wanted to read it again. The re-reading of this book to my teenagers was tougher than I thought, they made fun of the book and laughed at me. With advanced WiFi technology, kids with advanced homework will never know what books were in their parents' house. The kids ended up reading it and I asked them to put their hands on each page to see if they were paying attention. Yes, they ended up listening to me read. I still love this book. If I'm in the mood to read the book again, I will read it to my kids even when they are adults. An excellent story, touching and sweet, Raymond said.

Touching story
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2020
This is a great story and one of the few books that actually got my first grader to talk about his feelings and how the story made him feel all unprompted! Practically speaking, I like that there is substance to the story, Mr. Rule told the judge. One of those books would give slightly experienced readers just enough of a challenge to keep up with the Joneses. Very well written and colorful pictures.
