   Useful guide for national parks
This book was fantastic. In October we traveled to Utah and visited the 5 national parks - Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce and Zion. The description of the hikes was very helpful and accurate. We used it to plan our days in the park. It included trail maps, great descriptions of parks and hikes, and also descriptions of the area around the parks. This book is a must for anyone who does the Mighty Five.

   Good planning guide
I received mine directly from Amazon and got the updated version of 2021. It has helpful info on COVID. However, some of it has been relaxed, such as the tickets for the shuttle to Zion, but many rules are still in place.

   Great info
Amazing book for preparing a trip to see all these excellent sites. Really looking forward to see this area actually ''. The book is very well laid with separate sections for each NP. Each section tells you why it is a NP, history and geology, what to do in this area, suggested camping and other smaller parks near each of the 7NP. It is definitely worth the trip!

   An Essential Guide
Over the years I bought many, many travel guides and this one is GREAT! It provides overview information on the National Parks and National Monuments and gives a good description of the many hikes and driving views. The included maps of the parks have sufficient detail to help in planning the activities of the day so as to make the most efficient use of time. I particularly appreciated the descriptions of accommodation and dining options. These guides were a big help in the pre-planning of accommodation : we reserved all our accommodation before our trip, because many of the more desirable hotels and motels can sell out. The added bonus of the author's personal experiences and his family was appreciated.

Great Guide - Just What I Needed
This book really helped me formulate a plan and led me in making dining and lodging choices. Each time I arrived in a new place I read that section of the book and made choices on trails and read about the area. All places I visited were listed as 2.5-3 ratings and were clean, charming, very comfortable, with extremely friendly employees, and all except one included a free, wonderful, hot breakfast buffet. Between this book and simply googling, I was able to put together an amazing 2 week vacation to an area I had never been before. Highly recommended ''.

   Okay
Three stars because I don 't care about stories and pictures of the author's family. This material belongs on a blog, not a guidebook.

   wonderful guide book...the BEST!
I found this book to be more helpful and informative than any other guide book. The stories of his trip with the boys also helped, since I am taking my granddaughter on this trip. Great book for beginners.

Best organized guidebook I ever read. Really good!
I always get a few guidebooks when I explore a new area, but this one was great above and behind the new! I am so happy that I got it and can not wait for our 2 week road trip around the Grand Circle.

Excellent guide for Utah National Parks!
We went to Templelands, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capital Reef and Arches and used this and another guidebook. Everyone in our family felt that this one was much superior to the other. Well, written nice information and humorous. This is the one from our experience at least to get it!

We keep searching for books on the Mighty 5 in Utah WHY
I highlighted the moderate hikes in Yellow and the easy in Red, so that as we flip through the book those stand out for us. Other guide books arrange hikes young, moderate and easy luck. Since we had already booked stays by each park, it was not needed for me. Family discussions were discussed. We took the kindle edition with us on our fire. Flying from the Midwest, I did not want to add any additional weight to the books. Enjoy your tour through this unique area. Eric, thank you.
