A world divided in two.
Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court-but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.
Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms-and she might be key to stopping it. Joining the band wagon

I started this series based on suggestions from others. The first book I did struggle through to finish but was told that after that one it gets significantly better. I just started this second one and so far so good. The book came in good condition and was cheaper than other alternatives I looked in to. I love second sale!

One of my favorites
Anne George , Oct 13, 2022
This is even better than the first book. If you liked the first book, you may be disappointed at the change in storyline and romance in the second but this one is way better developed. Many people love this series for a reason and that is this book.

This is for the moms out there...
Derived From Web , Feb 15, 2022
Every other five- star reviewer has said the same thing to me. This review is for mothers. This is probably the most adult- young- adult novel I' ve ever read, even though it is rated for grade 10 and up. It's not in the adult romance novel section. It was very explicit for high school age and surprised me. I was surprised to read the content of this book, which consisted of long, detailed sex scenes and explicit language, after reading all Sarah Maas' books to this point. Don't get me wrong, I will probably read the next book, but I won't recommend it to teenagers.

Don’t read if you loved the romance in the first novel
Derived From Web , Oct 18, 2020
Don't read this if you liked the first book. The love story of the first novel was completely trashed by the author. I wanted to stop with the first book. It was long and filled with details about everyone. The romance of the first novel was erased by this book. Waste of time.

A Court of Self-Inserts and Fanfiction
Derived From Web , Nov 24, 2018
I would like to have a better way to express my disgust. The first book was ruined by this book, and it is almost as if it is a fanfiction written by a 13 year old girl. The amount of character assassinations was appalling, as well as the amount of cringy sex scenes. What was going on in the book was too long. This is only $5, but it was too many. I don't think I want to raise my blood pressure anymore than I already have, so I would go more into it. I don't think I could review it without giving away too much information, but please save your money and just read the first book, which was wonderful, and pretend it ended there! This is bad.

So much repetition!
Derived From Web , Aug 22, 2018
The previous book was let down. The last book had a bit of over use of certain terms and phrases, but it was not as bad as this one. The main character calls her love interest a " pinch" over and over again. She calls him an " Illyrian baby". Repeatedly. I don't want to root for them because their relationship is dull and contrived. It seems like they are just having the same interaction over and over again. She insults him the same way over and over. He responds in the same way every time. He said something about her mouth. I don't want to read the series anymore because it is sloppy writing.
