A Dog's Promise continues the story of Bailey, the good dog whose journey started in A Dog's Purpose and continued in A Dog's Journey (both major motion pictures).

This time, Bailey is joined by Lacey, another very special dog, who helps Bailey fulfill his promise over the course of several lives. This charming, wise canine soul brings joy, laughter, and comfort as he unites a family fractured by life's inevitable obstacles.

The love and loyalty of these two memorable dogs shows us the incredible power of hope, truth, and unending devotion in this moving novel by award-winning, New York Times bestselling author W. Bruce Cameron.

   Review of "A Dog's Promise"
Of all of Bruce Cameron's delightful dog novels--this is the one that I liked the most. As in all of his stories, I enjoy reading about life from the DOG's perspective. This book left me with a heartfelt connection with canines...a connection that felt palpable. To read and feel a story that brings to life a real understanding of a domestic dog... is an experience that this author offers to the reader. I highly recommend this beautiful story about a dear dog.
   Lovely Story
I have been playing my faithful old dog of nearly fourteen years and decided to give this a read. Except for necessities, I couldn t put it down from start to finish. This is well written by an author who knows the dog. We've all had that one special dog in our lives that we will never forget. If there is a Heaven, it is full of them. I went on to read A Dogs Purpose and was just as taken with it after finishing this one. Enjoy!
   Epic ending
Although I wanted to continue this trilogy forever, the epic ending satisfied me at least temporarily. I still want to know more about Lacie and Oscar and Lacie as companions through lifetimes. So many questions... Do Oscar and Lacie communicate only through empathic means? When Oscar had to go to the hospital, did Ava and Lacie communicate by barking?
I am a huge fan of the previous 2 books and Bruce Cameron in general, but this submission by Cameron can not compare to the captivating story in A Dog's Purpose or A Dog's Journey. The spirit and charm of the first 2 books is completely missing. It seems pretty obvious that this was written as a money maker, Piggy, who backed the success of the other 2 books.
   Definitely a Pet Lover's Selection
Kindle selection : I was very pleased with the story ''. Heartfelt and really touching from the dog's perspective. Those of us who have our pets and have to say good bye when their journey ends, would like to think that their life has brought us meaning and that it does not end there. At times, jumping back and forth with dog names was confusing, but in all honesty, your heart will be touched by the bond that our pets have with us and the love that they so unselfishly give.
   B E L I E V E ME. Please!
These are words that normally turn me off, especially if someone speaks them sincerely ''. But seriously, believe me when I say that Bruce's idea of dogs being true souls has helped me deal with the death of my beloved friend Jack C. C, who is short for canine. The day after he died, I actually suffered a heart attack. I hope to meet my friend again soon. The best companions are dogs.
Such a good book but one thing is lacking
All other purpose books were very good and this is too! Like its not centered around anything super certain. [Not counting the promise part ] But other than that this is a very good book. whoever gave the 1 star review also hater. (Please excuse my writing as I am writing this on a e-book. )
   Mr. Cameron is #1
I have been his fan for quite a long time now, but unfortunately I have not read it yet due to complications with my eye surgery, but I promise you that I will love this book as well, he doesn 't disappoint me at all or any of his fans. Mr. Cameron and his wife Ms. Cathryn and Tucker, they all do an amazing job for their fans and I love them very much and I have a lot of appreciation for them.
   Heart warming and perfect!
The story of Bailey, Bailey, and Bailey '' is the kind that gives me hope that all things are possible and that I may be reunited with my beloved pets one day. This story is delightfully told from the perspective of the dog, and the author does such a fantastic job that one has to wonder how much time was put into perfecting this style. This third installment was a wonderful read from start to finish and brings a sense of peace that Bailey has well and truly completed his purpose. I encourage anyone and everyone to give this series a shot. While you might be able to read this as a standalone, it was so much more enriched in a set of stories that will make you cry, but give you hope of life everlasting. If I could give it 100 stars, I would. Bravo!
Duty, honor, love AND dogs: Another great installment in this series
I suppose that is not a surprise anymore, but I do love saying it. It is really a joy to come across a new work by this author. And that it is the third installment in the beloved series A Dog's Purpose makes it even more special. If you read the two previous books, you know that the novels revolve around the lives of dogs who regenerate into a new life just so. This book follows this premise as well, but with an inventive twist. The human characters are well done and I quickly became attached to them. Wonderful Book ''. A five-star review is easily possible.
