A fly is followed by a menagerie of characters in this humorous cumulative tale edited by Dr. Seuss. When a young boy sees a frantic fly buzzing past, he asks where the fly is headed--and with that, a chase begins. The fly and the frog, the cat and the dog, the pig and the cow, the fox and the hunter . . . who is causing all the fuss? A Fly Went By will have young readers buzzing with excitement

Originally created by Dr. Seuss, Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning.

   Old time Favorite!
It was my first book and now my grand daughter can grow up with it. This book is a delight to read, the illustrations and story are just too good. It's a must have for any child. Thanks so much for the support! Fast delivery, too!

   Fun for kids and adults
It was one of my favorites when I was a kid. Now I love reading it to my grandchildren and the characters bringing to life with different voices. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

   Cute book
My 3 1/2 year old LOVES this book. The doctor first noticed the problem when we were at a doctor's appointment. After reading it, he would keep asking for it. It was just too good to us, Sosa said. It was a blast, said Blair.

A win for any parent with little children!
I've read the entire book, and I'm in love. My son has absolutely fallen in love with it because I can read it with energy and keep him excited. Whether or not you have children, this is a win for any parent with little or no children.

   A good addition to a child's library
My son, who is now 41, loved the book. He was about 2 years old when we started reading it to him. I recently bought a new copy for my granddaughter who is about the same age. There are some nice pictures, a real story line, appropriate for young children, Mr. D'Antonio said. This is one of those food-chain books where the bigger the animals are chasing the smaller ones. There is a lot of room for interaction with the child, he said. In this scene, the two kids learn which animal comes next. It is a long book, and the child will have to learn some patience. Nobody says you have to read the entire book to enjoy it. I'm delighted the book was added to the children's library, Libowitz said.

   I love this book
I absolutely love this book. When my son was little, I bought it for him and he liked it too. When they grew up and became parents, I gave it to their kids, who also liked it. It's a wonderful book for all ages! I gave one to my granddaughter recently and she said, 'Gramma, you already gave this book to me! I told her I would return it and she said not to because she can keep that one at her other gramma's house. She has a very good reputation for being a book snob.

   A Classic children's book.
I was given this book by my parents and bought it for my daughters and again for my 5 year old granddaughter. Yes, I am 70 years old now, and I continue this loving book. Its just the rhyming that makes it so loved. It's now her favorite book, along with "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

   Good for 60 years.
It was my book of choice as a kid and bought to read to my 2 year old grandson. The singer-songwriter says he made a mistake, but added, "I still love it." With that, he walks into my house and says Fly By! Brand new book, just ready to read. Lots of words for a toddler, so I summarize pages and he helps name off who is chasing who, Ms. Rule told the judge. He also tells the story of a hunter with a gun chasing a fox, and a mother cow worried that the fox wants to kill her calf. But I skip over words that are more sensitive to the era and child. I was just a little surprised because the content would have been worded differently if written today. 0 3171616 This is just a tad surprising because the content would have been worded differently if written today. It's still a gratifying story with a happy ending, Crowe said. That is probably why I remembered it so fondly after 60 years.

   Wonderful book!
It's a tad long, so if you are reading it as a bedtime story, be prepared for a longer read. Even into adulthood, my kids all remember me sitting by the lake and looking at the stars.

   Wait! which one?
Eventhough it was the last one I selected, it was rated for an older age. His older sister, who only read the first part of the story, also enjoyed it. Four of those books were also reviewed by me at that time for the ratings and educational qualities of the book. It's just that the boys are having a good time, right? My rating book is number one. 5 stars: The Beatles.
