   Great Shower Gift
I bought this for a friend. She said she loves reading it because it arrived on time and in good condition.

   Positive Role Models
This book is cool. I like how the woman in our history is represented. You can be anything in the world if you show young girls. I think all children would enjoy this book.

   Arrived warped and damaged
The book was damaged all the way around. It must have gotten wet, as the top was warped and several pages ripped because they were stuck together. I only paid $5 for it.

   Empowering little girls!
I bought this for my friend's little girl as her older brother is always saying she can't do the things he can because she's a girl and it makes us all nuts. The book is a great way to start empowering girls.

   Cute and inspiring book
This is a nice book. They chose the goddess Venus for the letter V instead of finding an actual woman who had V in her name, and that really bugged me.

How can you have a book about inspiring Women with a Nazi in it?
I don't understand how a book missed the memo on Coco chanel being a Nazi spy. I don't think she's an inspiring figure and I don't want my daughter to see a Nazi.

Great message! Well written and drawn and so fun to read with my daughter!
I love this book! My daughter is only 10 months old but she enjoys the pictures. The thick cardboard kind of the book is great since my little one will rip up the paper page books.

Not what I was looking for
I expected more historical and relevant female figures, not pop culture. The writing makes me cringe. Who is the OG girlboss who talks like that? My daughter is not interested in the book.

Silly me, I judged a book by it's cover.
There is a lot of information about Coco Chanel's anti-Semitic past. Flo Jo's record has a lot of ties to the DOPING cover up. Venus is not an icon who changed the world. Out of 20 opportunities, 13 were white. Not a single Hispanic representative? The end of the story is lazy.

Boys need to learn about women too!
The book is cute. I was quite dismayed to discover that the featured sheroes ended with X, Y, and Z, and that they were for adventurous you and brave adventures. That's just lazy, come on. It is terribly backwards for a book like this to assume that only girls should be reading about women. Boys need to know about women who are extraordinary. I am very disappointed that my son was not given this.
