   A must read! Highly recommended!
I finished this book about 20 minutes ago. During the last two weeks, I read all 3 books in this series. My heart broke during the first book, as I read a tragic story that no child should ever have to experience. During the second book, I cheered Pelzer on as he was slowly recovering and sometimes even enjoying life. I almost didn 't read the 3rd book in the series, because I was confident that Pelzer's life turned out well. I, however, couldn 't stop myself from wanting to know how it ended. It is a terrible ending to a wonderful childhood. Pelzer has an incredible story and I feel that I have become a better person by reading it. Pelzer's story is something that I will never forget. Though I don 't know him personally, I feel honored to have read his books.

Happy to read about what happened to Eve after she was released from foster care and became a man after being so badly abused as a child. Compelling a true story. He read all his books and the one by his brother Richard.

I read all of Dave's books and continue to be amazed at the power of the human spirit. He shows us how to do the seemingly impossible. Those who suffer from abuse, and those from other negative circumstances.

   A Man Called Dave
I read this one too. i had the whole series but my books were destroyed by mold so I don't have them anymore. And it's been a long while when I read this one too. I think it him reflecting on his life, I think he also went to therapy for help dealing with his life. I can't remember if he had a family, but if he did he made sure not to repeat what happen in his life not to put his family through it. But do remember he made a lot of reflections about his life and that everyone along the way to help him adjust his life, very appreciative.

   Simply amazing.
As someone on their recovery journey, I was suggested by my therapist to read Dave Pelzer's books, and now I see why. I now know my direction in life is to follow Pelzer's example. I know that my meaning in life is to add light to this world, light that comes from my own negative life experiences for the sake of freeing others from their own. While I still feel confused and lost in my own personal trauma, this book led me to see the “indomitable human spirit ” in myself and in myself as a child of abuse and neglect. Dave Pelzer gave me a flashlight so that I can find my light too, and I am now beaming at the dream of doing the same for others from now on D.

   Inspiring
I read Dave's first two books, A Child Called It and The Lost Boy, and continued with this book to find out about his life as an adult. He is truly an inspiration for all. So proud of his achievements! He taught us to never give up, no matter what the situation.
