   Good Resource with no index
There is no index and few cross references, so that before buying one, you will have to look where you want... which seems to generate all the answers without buying the book. We have returned it.

   Very thorough resource...
This book is called just what it is : an atlas. It does not give advice or information about irish history, genealogy or anything of the sort. It is a very detailed atlas of the counties, parishes and every other conceivable subdivision of the land of Ireland in the last 200 years. It could be a valuable resource for anyone who already has their genealogical research within Ireland. If you are like me and have the family traced to the boat ride, but no further, this will not help you quite yet.

   Irish Research Assistance
This book is a good reference to help figure out what records are available in Ireland and where they are located.

   A really helpful resource.
I have 30 or so books on Irish history and genealogy, and this is in the top 3 most helpful references, along with John Grenham 5th edition and Duffy, An Atlas of Irish History. Strongly recommended for sorting townlands and baronies, as well as Roman - Catholic Parishes, Church of Ireland - Parishes and civil Parishes.

Not What I Expected But Maybe Exactly What You Need
I expected to find a lot more information in a form that I would find useful. This is essentially all the maps. But somehow I expected a lot more detail with regard to family names, parishes and family migrations. I may find a use for it in the future and if I do, I'll update my review. But for me, having walked through it, this is of no help at all to track the location of my ancestors.
