Very Cute!

This book is very popular with my boys, ages 2 and 4. They like to read before bed and it makes them laugh. Their favorite part is when the first stain comes down. They go through the sniff sniff and lick motions with the main character. The moral of the story doesn't seem to be of concern to my boys, they just like the messes.

Fun book!

For Easter, we bought this book for our child. It was a hard choice to make but we ended up with this one and I'm so happy we did! She is a huge fan of this book. She wants us to read it once daily. She likes to rub the page with the paper towel pretending to clean up the mess. The book is cute. It's a nice story for the 1 year old.

Poor little Louie, he's hilarious!

The 4- year old grandson isn't a big fan of books and is only read to a few favorites. A Perfectly Messed Up Story was a hit. Young children are drawn to Louie's determination and misadventures. I didn't know the author is a cartoonist and his cartoons are published in national newspapers, such as the Chicago Tribune. I like to check them out in the paper with the grandson.

Cute book for librarian to discuss taking care of books.
Derived From Web , Sep 19, 2019
The children seem to like the book. It was hoped that it would give a more realistic depiction of the character's daily life. The book is about taking care of the books so they don't get food or stains on them. I can see where a counselor can help a child see the positive in a situation, but I don't think that's a stretch.

This story was not clever. It was not what ...
Derived From Web , Aug 25, 2018
The story was not smart. It wasn't what I was expecting. I teach art to children. I thought it would be motivating. It did not have enough. The images were gross and the outcome lacked imagination. It wasn't about inspiration, it was about accepting failure. I felt guilty for spreading a message to strangers after giving the book away.

My kids thought it was funny. The 9 and 8 year olds like to read it to the other two kids, but I got it for the 6 and 4 year old.
