An interesting manga about bullying. But told from the perspective of the bully.
When a friend tried to explain this manga to me first, I've become a bit skeptical. He told me that it was about bullying and the consequences. At first, it seemed lackluster until he told me that it was told from the perspective of the bully. And that the one who is deaf bullied was someone who is. After reading this, I can say without a doubt that it is one of my favorite mangas of all time. It is great trust!
An excellent story about bullying and disability
I read this on Crunchyroll and buy all the volumes as they come out.
Great story potential, but vivid portrayals of bullying and course language
Here is certainly a compelling story. Note, however, that there is a lot of very ugly behavior and vivid depictions of bullying. The language is rather vulgar during bullying and gets better as the story returns to the present day, but is still a bit crude by some standards. I stopped reading it myself, but if you can tolerate the language and get through the bullying flashbacks, this could be a good read, but don 't expect instant satisfaction. The story develops over a long time.
Digital version is horrible. No rotation and top and bottom borders are cropped.
Publisher changed versions as the last ebook was fine and presented in the landscape. So, received a refund and refunded. This new version will not rotate when reading the ebook and all pages are cropped at the top and bottom when they were not before. Obviously, they switched to some other format for their eBooks, which causes the rotation problem and the poor size of art. Stay away from this publisher and their digital mangas, as they have no idea of what they are doing.

I first read this series and then started collecting it for my daughter. This manga is not filled with all the sunshine and the flowers. The main character is believable and flawed and you want to root for him because he is trying to do better. It is very rare to see a character who starts out so insensitive, realizes his mistake and works so hard at trying to make it right. I gather all these volumes because this is an intelligent, well written story.
   My favorite!
This was my favorite movie, so I got the manga and I love it! It is about a girl who was bullied in the elementary and the bully tries to apologize for what he did.
I really enjoyed this book ''. This book was recommended to me by an English student of mine who loves this author because she knows that I also teach the Deaf and thought I would enjoy it. It was a really touching book and I think it was a good way to show how hurtful and damaging bullying can be for those who have something that stands out in a way that is seen as negative. The MC was a typical teen so that you get angry with him, but also root for him to be better. The was my first real manga, so the structure of reading first was a little confusing, but it was easy to figure out. The rest of this series will definitely be reading.
My son loves these books, he can read them on. It is nice to have fast shipping on these books.
A Silent Voice Gained A New Fan!!!!
I am a new fan of A Silent Voice after a friend recommended it to me. I have to say that this is a beautiful masterpiece. I love how it was written, the characters are beautifully drawn and the story is amazing. It hits close to home, because I was also bullied in the 6th grade, but for different reasons, it was not possible. I love it absolutely!
I love this manga, I have read it only Vol. 2, but this manga is amazing! It's so funny at first, but then makes me really bad for Shoya, even though he started it and OH MY GOSH SHOKO IS TO CUTE and SO NICE I LOVE HER This is definitely worth the read!
