If your daughter has a severe worrier, this book is for her. It seemed to describe my daughter exactly, and she really related to the descriptions and scenarios, Melissa said. The suggestions on how to manage worries were spot on. She has begun implementing them right away - the easiest ones, she said. We have found most of the American Girl, Smart Girl guides to be helpful and written in a clear, non-judgmental way that my daughters really relate with. Highly recommend.

Part of the book is helpful, but it gave my preteen an opportunity to think about things that she had not thought of. It would be a problem for any such book.

Excellent conversation starter

These books are wonderful, both for the content and the conversations started by reading them together, he said. There is enough detail to get across the point, but it doesn't get boring. It's a big deal. The format will change again next year with the introduction of Quizzes. We own pretty much the entire set of books, so we don't have to split hairs. McCartney said: "We're very happy with them.

Very helpful
Derived From Web , May 2, 2022
It was my 10 year old daughter who asked for it. She found the book very helpful. The section that talked about not worrying about your looks was probably the most popular. She is most certainly a perfectionist and holds herself to a very high standard, Crosby said. She enjoyed the quizzes and said she will definitely be using the tips this book gives.

Bravo American Girl, another winner!
Derived From Web , May 2, 2022
This book was written for my 10 year old daughter. Happy to see American Girl address this issue which is so prevalent among youth today, said Bethany. 0 31712010 We are delighted that American Girl has tackled this important issue. It's written in a way that is accessible for her to digest and doesn't come across as preachy, but rather with compassion, he said. She loved the illustrations. Her only negative was that a lot of it was centered around school issues that weren't relevant as she is homeschooled.

Great for destressing the tweens
Derived From Web , May 2, 2022
This is a great way to get information about worrying and how to stop stressing so much, Melissa said. Just keep reading, they don't have to read it all at once. It can be digested in small doses, so it's great for the younger ones reading this. It's just that American Girl helps too, because it's a TV show.
