I have been waiting almost 4 months for this book to be released and delivered. I saw Kent Rollins on Chopped '' and loved him. I had already tried his Sparkling Taters'' and loved them so when the book came finally, I had to try something IMMEDIATELY!! Mexican tortilla Lasagna... fast, easy, so darn good. I paired it with Fiesta Cabbage Salsa. Oh, yeah! While the lasagna was in the oven, I began reading. Cooking tips, stories, a song or two. Fantastic! And the thing I like the best is that all recipes are easy to make with special ingredients, so I don 't have to go to a specialty store for a special spice that I will never use again. I have a lot of cookbooks, but I think this one will be right from my old Betty Crocker cookbook, as I use it often. I want to try almost every recipe in it, and I want to try almost every recipe in it. I might even try the recipe for the meatloaf *sigh* I might even try the recipe for the meatloaf. And I HATE meatloaf, And I HATE, meatloaf.

Mr. Rollins is the real dea

After watching his tutorial on Cowboy Coffee on Youtube, I found Mr. Rollins'book after watching his tutorial on Cowboy Coffee. I tried his technique twice, with different brands and grinds of coffee, and confirmed that he KNOWS what he is talking about. I tried several times to make good coffee that tastes cowboy. I love simplicity, but could never get past the bad taste. Mr Rollins'technique nails it. It is not the best coffee I ever had, but pretty darn good considering how simple the method is. As a result of my success, I have complete faith that the author knows how to cook everything he is claiming.............. so I ordered his book. After I receive the book, I'll update my review and try a few recipes. For those who question my rating before reading the book, I 'd normally agree. But in this instance, I have NO doubts that my five star review will remain unchanged.

Today I received this book and started reading it immediately. Then I read the dedication and the acknowledgments and then on to the stories. THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! Kent talks about the people he has met. My favorite is Leon. Leon goes to church, titled Leon goes to the church. I read it aloud and my husband was just laughing. I told him that this is like a great story book with recipes, rather than a recipe book and some stories. I can honestly say that this is the first recipe book that I have actually read. i have other recipe books i just glance through until I see something i may like. I would definitely recommend '' this book! I would definitely recommend it! The price is great and the service is great!! ! !

I enjoy Cowboy Kent's YouTube channel so that I purchased this book and was not disappointed. The recipes are easy to prepare and he provides instructions on cooking indoors and outdoors. The photos taken by Mrs. Kent enrich the stories of Shannon Rollins, giving us City Slickers a glimpse into the Cowboy lifestyle. If you like the cast iron cooking then this is the book for you.

What a great book! We cook a lot with Dutch ovens, but all these recipes have been converted to be able to use your roasting and frying pans and the kitchen stove. Simple ingredients, tasty food. The pictures and stories are wonderful. This book is aptly named, you will get a taste of cowboy life and excellent food!

If you haven’t checked Kent out, find his You Tube series and take a look. He is very entertaining and an excellent cook. This book is an extension of the vids and has some excellent recipes. Check him out, you won 't be disappointed.
