The series is not getting better as it goes. Too much Gluck and serious danger to the children now.
Derived From Web , Aug 10, 2020
The first several books are great for children, where Abby and Jonah go into different fairy tales and have a cute adventure. In the end, they would always end up changing the fairy tale story in a cute and clever way. Often a person reads old fairy tales and wants to change something about the story. There is too much about an evil fairy, Gluck, trying to harm the children characters and too much about saving the fairy trapped in their basement mirror, which is their portal into the fairy tales.

Great books for young readers

The plots are interesting and the characters are clever. The author talks to her readers, but does not talk to them down. My 7-year-old granddaughters love the books Whatever After.

The second favorite series of my daughter is my second favorite. They are a little bit scarier than after, but my second grader is obsessed with these three series.

Daughters Favorite Series- perfect for a reluctant reader!
Derived From Web , Apr 28, 2020
My 9 year old daughter was so excited for this next book that she saved her own money to buy it herself after re-reading all the other books in this series! It is a fairly easy read, but the story lines are so captivating that they keep her captivated and she could hardly stop reading to even eat! She loved this one so much that she kept finding me to share passages she found pleasant and even read a part of it to her 8 year old brother. Seriously, if you have a child who is struggling to read, try this series! It's phenomenal!

Favorite series

My 9-year-old daughter and I have been reading this series for the past two years. While she is old enough to read them now on her own, she still prefers to listen to me read. Like the others, this story is fun and engaging. It also adds a lot of humor. As a parent, I love the beautiful writing and the moralslessons '' that accompany each story. In all these aspects, Abby is one of our new favorites in Oz!

The best book in the best series
Derived From Web , Apr 10, 2020
The latest book in this beautiful series may be the best yet. For one thing, Abby is off to see the wizard. And who does not love the Wizard of Oz? But we also devoured the puzzles, word games and maps in the back.
