   Thoughtful and Beautiful
I love this book ''. I bought it for my 3 and 4 year old, while my older children were studying birds in science. The illustrations are simple and clear, the words are beautiful. Though the facts presented seem very obvious and simple, I realized that the words here were very well chosen and really represented the most important things to know about birds.

   Lovely!
We purchased this book for our 15-month old wild fanatic and he loves the illustrations as much as we do! It is so delightful to finally find a series that has beautiful, accurate illustrations complemented by text that is simple enough to hold our little interest. I hope to buy more books from this series and would recommend this book to anyone who loves birds, art, andor nature. Our follow-on review Our son is now 24-months old and still loves this book. It is truly a treasure to be dissapointed!

   Grandson "read" it to me.
The book is very nicely put together. He is only 2 and he tells me all about the birds. I understand that he is too young to read it to me, but he likes the pictures. When he gets a little older, he'll realize all the good things it has to say. It shows the birds and their eggs, the color of the eggs too. We recently had an accident where soda was spilled and the book is made of a smooth cover and the pages are very easy to clean.

Fantastic book for toddlers to introduce birds to. The whole series of the books is excellent. Highly recommended are amphibians, reptilian mammals, etc.

I ordered this book to be seen unseen, which is always a little scary, but the book is wonderful! The book has very little written words until you get to the last section, so it works for multiple age groups.

The pictures are beautiful and the writing is perfect for the youngest children. This book is best for children between 3 and 6 years old.

My children watch birds with their grammy. I was expecting something with a little more information and then a picture of them, their name and basics, like some birds build their nest in high places... I was very disappointed...
