A human quick read that pertains to everything as a wonderful being. I bought it for a friend who was having relationship issues and read it first, while my friend was out of town. Now I am lending it out to another friend and I am buying several more copies for myself and all my friends - family. I live daily by my values, and it has made my interactions and decisions clear and joyful. All information has helped me clarify myself and has guided me every day. It made me a little softer and more loving with my husband. This will be a good book to have on the shelf when I need a reminder. A few hundred dollars and handing them to everyone would change the world.

If couples that went through hard times read this book seriously and took it before throwing it in the towel, there would be 90% fewer divorces. This book could save and change your life. The principles are transformative and the author doesn 't let you get away with anything, he holds the feet of both people to their values and encourages them both to be honest and see their roles. It's great but...

I really did not feel like this was much of a book by a couple. For that reason, it didn't really help so much with actual skills, techniques or tools during conflict. ACT makes a huge difference in my life, but like many couples books out there, it is difficult to translate some of these concepts into a real life situation. This book was not far off from the trap of happiness. I loved this book and I felt like this was just adapted to include couples instead of having an individual focus.
