Acts: A 12-Week Study
Book Overview
A tremendous resource for those wanting to study and teach the Bible with an understanding of how the gospel is woven throughout Scripture. --Bryan Chapell, Pastor, Grace Presbyterian Church
The Knowing the Bible series is a resource designed to help Bible readers better understand and apply God's Word.
These 12-week studies lead participants through books of the Bible and are made up of four basic components: (1) reflection questions help readers engage the text at a deeper level; (2) Gospel Glimpses highlight the gospel of grace throughout the book; (3) Whole-Bible Connections show how any given passage connects to the Bible's overarching story of redemption, culminating in Christ; and (4) Theological Soundings identify how historic orthodox doctrines are taught or reinforced throughout Scripture.
With contributions from an array of influential pastors and church leaders, these gospel-centered studies will help Christians see and cherish the message of God's grace on every page of the Bible.
The book of Acts chronicles some of the most important events in Christian history: the coming of the Holy Spirit, the birth of the early church, the scattering of Jesus's disciples across the known world, and more.
This guide explains the biblical text with clarity and passion--helping us understand the history-shaping events that took place in the years following Christ's resurrection and ascension.

Good overview and study guide of the book of Acts
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
We are using this as a resource for an adult class filled with people who have a strong interest in the Scriptures. He also points out that the Lord's entire creation was based on the "fruits of the Spirit." I've been teaching for many years and I found this study to be very, very rich indeed. The proposed 12-week reading program is too short a time to properly cover all the material. The time is estimated to be about 15 weeks.

Amazingly In-Depth
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I'm really enjoying the book of acts, Baz said. Also make sure that your group wants a study that is very in-depth and heavy theological as opposed to situational conversations, Raymond said.

Insightful and Provoking
Derived From Web , Mar 7, 2021
I am halfway through this study and absolutely love the balance of thought provoking and discussion leading questions, said Kristen. I wasn't able to find a separate leader, but balance each chapter with insights from a bible commentary for enrichment.

Great devotional reading, John Paul. He brings in some great minds, too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, new or old, Christian.

A good support to a study of the Acts
Derived From Web , Oct 8, 2019
This is a useful support to our leading Bible study group on the Book of Acts. We used it in combination with two other similar study guides. This was not as useful as others at it, mostly because it didn't include much historic or socioeconomic information. It was a useful tool to support us, Raymond said.

Just finished using this series for Isaiah and John, and now starting Acts. This is great for small groups to use as pre-work and then dialogue when meeting together. Context is everything.

Wonderful.
Derived From Web , Jan 2, 2018
This was a small group study. The set-up was reasonable, Mr. Seto said. Whole Bible, Gospel perspectives, and applications for living it out. He also tells us that the movement was born of a Christian sensibility.
