   nothing much new here----don't bother
Before I bought it, I had just finished reading Delivered from Distraction, which was excellent! For purposes of background, I am a doctor in my mid-60's, on the lower spectrum of ADD symptoms, and only recently realized that I have tendencies that are well-explained as part of ADD. I have done a lot of reading and was concerned that delivered would be seriously outdated, but found this not o be '' after reading the new book. I had hoped that 2.0 would offer state-of-art information, and was disappointed that it did not. Things mentioned in the older book, such as the cerebellar exercise, can be found on-line, and does not seem to be any more current. This book is more anecdotal, less meaty and IMO a big let-down. I return it. DO read from distraction to learn about coping strategies, diagnosis, etc.

   This is the manual that helps you fall in love with your ADHD brain!
It was again done by Hallowell and Ratey with ADHD 2.0! If Driven to Distraction was the Old Testament that created the story, ADHD 2.0 is the New Testament that offers the solution, one that includes minimizing the downside and maximizing the benefits of living with ADHD. It is now my top ADHD-focused resource. It is written for the ADHD brain, so it's short and to the point. Here there are no one page paragraphs! Science is presented in a way that is interesting and easy to understand. I loved learning new information about the brain, specifically on the task - positive network and default - mode network and how when we feel the best, the cerebellum connection and balance and the importance of connection for our ADHD - brains. ADHD 2.0 left me inspired and full of optimism, hope and positive emotion, which is exactly what our brains need to be wildly successful.

   My serious introduction to ADHD
As someone who was part of the stigmatizing group, I'm glad that I have a better understanding of this kind of mind. This is possibly affecting someone very close to me and possibly causing a big issue in our relationship. However, I, having more insight into this person or other humans I may encounter opens my compassionate side even more and more. I appreciate all the medicalscientific explanations, variety of examples and informed explanations of both medicinal and non-traditionalmedicinal benefits out there. Thank you for crashing this book, and thank you for crashing this book. I feel like I found it at the perfect time '', I feel like I found it! Thank you for reading this review and being well!

   Helpful, informative, practical read for anyone w adhd
This book will absolutely save lives. It is the first book I have read in a decade to the very end. I think it is the beginning of my life changing. I learned so much about myself and how my brain works. By knowing how things really work, it makes living with adhd so much less terrible. Adoum has a lot of practice moving forward, but this book has a lot of practical information for people with adhd.
