   Colorful and fun! Perfect!
We are very pleased with this bible. It's beautiful! There are colorful little blurbs that help emphasize a passage or ask a question. My son really enjoys the type of question. The type is large, which was his complaint about other bibles. He tried to carry his bible with him to his baseball game, but it was too late. You will be happy.

The colors on the cover and throughout the Bible are vibrant and fun. The study helps are appreciated and are age-appropriate
A child in our church was recentlybaptized and I bought this Bible for them. He was very happy to receive it. The colors on the cover and the Bible are fun. The study is age-appropriate. I appreciate the explanations of some topics and the pop-up text boxes with more information to aid in a child's understanding of the surrounding scripture. I wanted to point out that this is an NIV Bible in its entirety after seeing some concerns in other reviews. Some Children's Bibles are summaries of certain Bible stories. The text is from the bible. The additions and study help that are included make this Bible a Children's Bible, even though it lacks some of the stories in the Bible that would be questionable for a child to read. I am happy with this version of the Bible and will purchase more in the future.

   Such a wonderful bible.
I bought for my child. He had trouble with some words. I would say it's for a middle schooler or older. Overall, it's a great bible. He will use it in a few years.

Nice quality and is an actual bible
I am very pleased with the quality of the bible. The bible has a protective sleeve on it. The bible has bright colored pages. Fun facts and soft pages. This is not a story telling bible, it is an actual bible, and it has popular stories in it. I plan to buy these for all of my new kids in Sunday school.

   Careful - read with kids
A nice bible for kids. I agree with you that this is the real Bible with no changes so it does talk about things I don't want my kids hearing like people hanging themselves, so I use different words to make it more age appropriate. You want to let your kids read on their own. If you stop and ask your mom or dad what some words mean, you can help build their vocabulary. This works great for us because we are a family that is home-schooling. I like the Bible. I enjoy reading with them.

   Not appropriate for kids!
I don't write reviews, but I have to with the Bible. It grieves me to give 1 star because it is a great product with fun and educational images and facts to keep the children's interest and enhance the Bible experience. Our 8 year old son needed a bible for his studies. The company that I purchase our curriculum from recommended this edition. He only needs it to look up, but he loves to read! He went from page Genesis to Leviticus in a couple of days. He came to me many times with an embarrassed and disturbed look on his face, showing me scriptures that were too raw for kids. When I purchased this, I assumed the Bible was a lot more filter. It is not!

   Love it
My 2-year old Grandson enjoys reading from the Bible stories, and this is the perfect one for him. I like it as well.

Great articles but no red letter and no capitalization,
They don't have the red letter for the words of Christ beyond that, so they don't have the person capitalized up God. It doesn't matter to some, but it helps understand who they're talking about.

   Love
When we presented her with it, she loved it. I would highly recommend a young child if they are male or female.
